Hamburger

Slow day today. I slept in until about 9:30, had breakfast, then got to work editing Kristin's paper about the Pantheon. We all have to write a paper on a selected structure/sculpture/person for our Art History class, and we've been assigned peer editors.

After a sandwich for lunch, I started in on the daily readings for Art History and novel (Trickster Travels) for Islam and Italian Cities. It's getting noticeably warmer here in Rome. Today reached 85°F, and the rest of the week looks to be similar. Yikes!

For dinner we made an impressive spread, including a fresh chicken salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, "croutons" (read: torn up bread crust), and a balsamic vinaigrette; fresh hamburgers with sauteed onions and fresh tomato; and steamed rice (which is surprisingly difficult to find here). Everything was very good, and we were all quite full after the meal.
